Academics

I recently graduated with Honours in Philosophy and Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University and am continuing my academic journey with a Master’s of Theological Studies at Emmanuel College.

At the heart of my academic and professional work is a deep commitment to understanding psychological manipulation and coercive control (PM and CC), an area shaped by both formal study and my lived experience as a survivor of a high-control group (cult). I’ve conducted research, developed tools, and created resources to help individuals and families impacted by manipulation, and I continue to explore the intersections of psychological manipulation, social psychology, free will, belief, and recovery through my non-profit, Counter.

Faith and Religion

I am particularly interested in how faith, spirituality, and religion shape identity, resilience, and transformation, especially in the aftermath of coercion or loss. My graduate studies at Emmanuel College allow me to deepen this exploration and engage with theological frameworks that support healing, ethical reflection, and community-building.

AI

My work in AI focuses on the philosophy of mind, consciousness, ethics, and the social impact of large language models. I have developed projects that explore how AI intersects with education, decision-making, and philosophical inquiry.

Education and Edu-Gaming

I have conducted research and development in education and educational gaming, with an interest in how interactive learning and philosophy can be combined to foster critical thinking, empathy, and curiosity.

Psychology and Mental Illness

With a strong academic grounding in abnormal psychology, belief formation, and trauma, I bring both scholarly and personal insight into the psychological aspects of identity, manipulation, and recovery. My creative work often explores mental health, grief, and the nature of the self.

Philosophy

My philosophical work spans philosophy of mind, free will, epistemology, belief, and the philosophy of science and religion. I’ve written award-winning academic papers, including work on Schrödinger’s superposition and realism and a recent exploration of belief as both intellectual and emotional.

Law, Justice, and Abolition

I have a long-standing interest in abolition, justice, and capitalism, and am a graduate of the Walls to Bridges program. I have completed multiple courses on law, social justice, and systemic transformation.
